Shelby Taylor, a freshman at Morro Bay High in California, won the Division 4 girls title at the Central Section Championships by covering the 5-kilometer layout in 19:09.02 at Woodward Park in Fresno, Calif. Taylor helped Morro Bay finish second by a 95-112 margin behind Kerman to advance to race Nov. 25 at the CIF State Cross Country Championships at Woodward Park.
